Sergeant Larry Holland
Detective Larry Holland is currently assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division, Crime Scene and Evidence Division of the Youngsville Police Department and is one of three investigators in CID. He was assigned to this position in February 2015. Detective Holland has been in law enforcement for 17 years
Detective Holland began his career in law enforcement back in 1998 at the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office under Sheriff Don Breaux. There he started at the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center. He attended and graduated from the Acadiana Law Enforcement Training Academy in 2000. Detective Holland worked his way up through the ranks to Sergeant of intake and booking. Detective Holland got his experience on the road in the patrol division at the Youngsville Police Department in 2003. After working his way to Sergeant of patrol, he then moved to the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office in 2009 where he was assigned to the Bureau of Investigation for three years. In the Bureau of Investigation, Detective Holland received training in Practical Homicide Investigations. Detective Holland then became a Crime Scene Investigator and transferred to the Crime Scene and Evidence Division where he received training in fingerprint identification and Photography. Detective Holland returned back to the Youngsville Policed Department in 2015 under Chief Rickey Boudreaux. Detective Holland is a current member of the International Association for Property and Evidence of IAPE. Detective Holland resides in Youngsville with his wife.
