Information Received by the Youngsville Police Department learned the Fred Leon Stegall was wanted on drug charges out of Greene County Missouri. Learning of Mr. Stegall’s past violent criminal history, Youngsville Police notified members of U.S. Marshal’s Violent Offenders Taskforce of the information gathered. It was notified that Mr. Stegall was wanted for Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Greene County was wanting to extradite.
Taskforce members located the suspect in the 1900 block of E. Milton Avenue, Where he was taken into custody without incident. The Youngsville Police Department would like to thank the U.S. Marshal’s Taskforce for their quick response and capture of this dangerous suspect.
Members assigned to the taskforce represent the following agencies, Youngsville Police Department, Iberia Sheriff Office, St. Martin Sheriff Office, Lafayette City Marshal’s Office and Louisiana Probation and Parole. Other arrest are possible as this is an ongoing investigation.
